Control begins with the datum plan and follows the part through machining, heat treatment and final verification. The inspection scope is agreed around the application and the drawing, so engineering and purchasing teams receive evidence they can use.
Journals, shoulders, bores, splines and gear features are checked in the relationships that matter to assembly.
Profile, lead, pitch, runout and backlash-related features are verified where the drawing or application requires them.
Material certificates, hardness results and heat-treatment records can remain linked to the production batch.
